Steak Marinade! Perfect for Grilling!

I grew up on a beef farm when I was younger so we ate a lot of steak, and I wasn’t always a huge fan of it because of this. Lately however, in my “more refined age”… I sure do love me, a good steak! I’ve even started eating them a little rarer than I used to!

Not like super-rare or anything… Just medium! I used to like my steaks well-done, but now I’ve moved over to the medium side, (or the middle, I guess), and oh how they taste good!

I think one of the reasons why I love steak so much these days, is because I now know how to properly marinate it.

The girls and I spent last week on the farm, and that is where I actually devised this delicious steak marinade recipe, that I’m now going to share with you! It was a total hit, and I can’t wait to make it again!

This recipe makes about 3 ½ cups of marinade.

What you’ll need for your Steak Marinade:

1 ½ cups of Red Wine (I used a Cabernet – Sauvignon, and it was so good!)

½ cup of BBQ Sauce (I used Kraft Original, but just use whatever your favorite is!)

¼ cup of Lemon Juice

¼ cup of Lime Juice

½ cup of Olive Oil

3 Tbs of Worcestershire Sauce

½ Tsp of Garlic Salt

¼ Tsp Black Pepper

2 Tsp of Steak Spice (I really like Montreal Steak Spice or The Keg Steak Spice

What you’ll need to do:

I like to let my steak marinade for at least 2 to three hours, but if you are on top of things and have enough time for it to marinate overnight, I would definitely recommend this! I use either a marinating container or a big zipper freezer bag to put everything in. One key thing to remember when marinating something, is to keep flipping over the marinade container or bag.

After your steaks have been marinated, throw them on the BBQ and grill as usual. Then, serve and enjoy!
