Quick and Easy Pie Crust (made without eggs!)

Every once in a while, when I’m baking dinner, I decide to make something that requires a pie crust… Of course, I don’t always meal plan like I should, so I sometimes end up in a kind of tight spot!

The other night I wanted to make my yummy quiche recipe, which can be made with or without crust, but I was really in the mood for some crust!

Usually I just use a really easy bisquick recipe, but I was all out…

So instead, I ended up using this really quick and simple no-egg recipe, and it was so good, that I thought that I would share it with y’all!

What you will need:

½ tsp of Salt

1 cup of Flour

6 tbsp of Margarine

5 to 7 Ice Cubes

4 tbsp of cold Water

What you will need to do:

Step One: In a medium sized bowl, add salt and flour and evenly mix.

Step Two: Add in all of your margarine and gently kneed it together, until the texture of the mixture is pea-sized. (I use my metal whisk for this part, and it really works well!)

Step Three: Fill a mug with the ice cubes and add your cold water. Stir it up so that the water becomes ice cold! Then measure your four tablespoons of water out of this, but just add them in one tablespoon at a time and knead the mixture in between. Keep kneading until the mixture appears to be sticking in large clumps.

Step Four: If you are using this crust recipe for a pie, then you will want to roll your dough out onto a cutting board, using some extra flour to prevent sticking.

If you are using this crust recipe for something like a quiche, then you can just simply pour the mixture into your pan or baking dish and evenly pat it out with your hands or a big spoon, but be sure to sprinkle some extra flour into your baking dish first, to prevent sticking.

Step Five: Fill your crust with your favorite quiche or pie recipe, and bake accordingly.

Step Six: Enjoy!
