I’m dreaming of a white Christmas! Seriously! I need snow! I can’t wait much longer, so I’ve gotten out all of my Snowy Christmas Decor! Along with that, I’ve joined up with a whole bunch of amazing Home Decor and DIY Bloggers to help bring you the Holiday Home Tour 2017! Be sure to check it out, below!
Have I ever told you about how much I love the snow? Like, I love it! I would totally move to Alaska if the opportunity were ever to smack me in the face! (It hasn’t yet, but I’m still hoping!)… Oh but did I also mention that I live in South-Western Ontario?! Whomp-whomp! Total snow fail!
We have had a few really, really good snow seasons since I’ve lived here, and I am totally convinced that this winter is going to be another one! (It better be anyways, or I am seriously trucking up to Alaska for a vacay!)
Although we don’t have any snow on the ground yet, I decided that I would get into the spirit by creating a snowflake, snowball, snow flurry theme with my Christmas decor this year! Hopefully my snowy enthusiasm is enough to trigger that first real snow fall!Mixed in with this super-snowy Christmas decor theme, is a huge side of easy! I usually decorate my whole home, but this year I have managed to keep it to one room, well technically two rooms, but still all in the same area!
I’ve been sticking my tree in the corner of this archway for the past couple of years. It seems to work well, because you can still see it from the dining room, and you can also sit right in the sitting area where it is located, and fully enjoy the ambiance!
My tree decor actually turned out ok, I think… Considering that my girls (one and four) like to un-decorate it every single night, and I have redecorated it about, oh, twenty times or so this year… (You know how it goes… The super breakable items slowly start to migrate more and more towards the top of the tree.)
But at least it hasn’t come completely crashing down like the two previous years… Yet?!!
Last year I decided to spend a little more money on my Christmas tree decorations (which you can totally read about here!)… so this year, I had the challenge of creating a different looking home tour with the same decor pieces! All I did was add a few more new balls this year, and the red wooden snowflakes. I actually purchased these snowflakes for my Christmas Urns, but they were the perfect thing that was needed to tie the tree with my red ladder, reindeer sign, and my “joy” pillow.
Oh! And my burlap Christmas printables too! (Psst! You can get your own copy for free, right here!)
Instead of decorating my entire house, I just carried the Christmas decor a little bit to the right of my tree….
And a little bit to the left of my tree!
As you can see, there are no presents under my tree yet… This is because I am like the biggest procrastinator, ever! Oh well… I made up this handy-dandy printable Christmas Shopping List to help me through it! A total secret weapon! (Grab your copy here!)
The feather and burlap garlands on my tree are the exact same ones from last year, except this year, I decided to string them up vertically instead of horizontally… And I must say, I kind of like it! (Learn how to make your very own feather garland!)
The white feathers remind me of a fresh, fluffy snowfall! The large white balls remind me of snowballs that would be the perfect size for a snowball fight!
The little snowballs and the different snowflake ornaments that I used represent the perfect snowstorm that I am still waiting for!??!
Hopefully it comes sooner than later! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! And don’t forget to dream snow, for me!

Your tree is gorgeous! I just love everything you’ve done here. Wishing you lots of snow this Christmas! ?
Your snowy themed decor and burlap are gorgeous! I am more than willing to share some of our snow with you….but I do know what you mean about wanting a White Christmas. We are always eager for fresh snow on December 24th, it’s magical to have the untouched snow as our white backdrop on Christmas morniing. Have a wonderful holiday season and a very Merry Christmas!
I just love the burlap ribbon and red and white! It’s just gorgeous. I may have to recreate that next year! I hope you have some snow this year, if not head on down to Ohio and we can make a snowman! Merry Christmas!
I love your fun Christmas tree! You used so many different textures, and they really complimented one another. The feathers were such a great and unique idea. I am borrowing that idea for a future tree!
Sarah, I absolutely love your tree. The burlap and feathers with highlights of red are perfect. I love your reindeer vibe with the sign, the pillow, the silver deer, etc, too. The vertical garland is really cool; love those white feathers. I actually thought it looked like snow at the first glance! I love snow, too, but now I live in south GA, and it never comes here. But, I am wishing you the best ever gorgeous white fluffy snow Christmas! Thanks for opening your home to us, and have a very Merry Christmas!
