Learn how to easily transform an old ugly table into something new, that you love! With a little bit of paint and a simple stamp, the transformation process couldn’t get any easier!
A couple of months ago, I picked up a set of stamps to try out on some of my furniture projects. Although I had never used stamps before, and was a tiny bit scared, they turned out to be the really user-friendly and super forgiving to messy DIY-er, like myself!
I picked my stamps at a tiny little boutique shop, but here are some similar Furniture Stamps, offered by Amazon.
The first piece that I wanted to try stamping was this cute little side table that has been sitting out in the project pile for, oh, about 7 months now… Oops!
Here it is…
I wasn’t sure of what color I wanted to paint my table, so I just took out a few different cans, and started mixing until I liked what I saw…
It turned out to be a Lightish- Blue-Green Color, that totally looks different depending on the lighting in the room.
I just used a regular, old Paint Brush and applied several coats to my table until it was fully covered.
Next it was time to start picking out my stamp pattern! So exciting, except that I really couldn’t make up my mind of which stamps I wanted to use… I played around with some paint and construction paper, and well, this is what I came up with…
But, like with any other project that I do, I never really know what I am going to end up with…
Spoiler Alert: This is not the pattern that I ended up with!
Applying the first stamp was so much fun, that I just started stamping and stamping…
Warning: Stamping can become totally addictive!
I just kept using the same long stamp over and over, but staggering and randomly flipping it over here and there.
Here is how the table turned out… I am so in love!
I honestly can’t wait to stamp my next piece of furniture!
Here are some more pretty photos!
Have you tried using furniture stamps yet?!
If so, how did you like the process?!
And if not, I highly recommend it!
