Feathers, Pearls and Antlers… Oh my! If you are looking for something that’s a little bit different than your regular, old, boring Christmas decor, then you’ll definitely want to check out this Whimsical Christmas Decor. Also, to add to the excitement of the Christmas Holidays, I have teamed up with a fun group of talented bloggers for a 2018 Holiday Home Tour! Be sure to check them all out at the end of this post!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve last chatted with you all and posted up on the blog… Let’s just say, it’s been way, way too long! Here’s to the new year, and looking forward to having a teeny, tiny bit more time on my hands!
Not a whole lot has changed around here, the girls are growing up fast, and when we aren’t working hard, we are definitely playing hard.
Last summer I did happen to pick up this pretty fire place mantel at a flea market, that came out of an old home in Toronto. I decided that I just had to use it to hang the girls’ stockings on for Christmas this year, so I threw a couple coats of paint on it, and well here it is!
I can’t decide if I want to distress it or not… What do you think?!
I distress everything. Everything! I think that I may try it when I have more time, but until then, this totally works!
What do you think of the weird, seashell-ish/seahorse-ish carved designs on this mantel? Super whimsical, am I right?!
I kind of love it!
It actually kind of goes with the seashell-ish Tin Wall Art, that I also have going on in the living room… (I totally just realised this!)
I guess people really like seashells back in the olden days?!
Speaking of Whimsical Christmas Decor… If I’m going to have a whimsical fireplace, why not have a whimsical Christmas tree to go with it?!
Hence, the feathers, pearls, and antlers!
Super weird, right?! But again, I totally love it!
Unfortunately, I wasn’t very lucky (again) this deer hunting season, but I was able to swipe this stunning pair of antlers out of the back shed at the farm. It’s slightly hard to tell, but this rack is a 7 pointer, the perfect size for our tree!
I’ve been very carefully collecting my Whimsical Christmas Decor over the last couple of years, (Which you can read about here!), so I love every single piece that I have, but with this comes the challenge of trying to come up a different looking Christmas tree…
Last year we went with the Snowy Christmas Tree theme, so this year, we decided to change it up and go with the Reindeer theme.
Next year though, who knows?!
HEY! WOULD YOU LIKE TO RECREATE THIS LOOK?! HERE ARE SOME ITEMS TO HELP!

That is such a fun tree! I love the antlers! And I’ve been thinking about adding feathers to my tree as well!
Thank you so much, Emy! I definitely recommend trying the feathers… They really help to fill out the tree! 🙂
I love that you utilized antlers in your decor! Everything looks great!
Thank you so much, Bethany! 🙂
I love the Reindeer theme mixed with the Feather and Pearls it has a very “Vixen” feel which is super cool, it is like a Rockstar Reindeer vibe. Your tree is gorgeous and love the mix of textures and elements you combined very creative. Such a fun way to celebrate the holidays!
Thanks so much for the wonderful compliments, Jen! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!! 🙂
