Well, I’m pretty sure that we just had frost again the other night… but I don’t care because its April, and we all know what that means! April showers bring May flowers, and I just can’t wait!
I’m so excited for our May flowers! I’ve already been out digging around in the backyard to see what all I could find!
My weeping pussy willow tree has been in full swing for quite a while now, and I just can’t get enough of it!
This bush here, gets beautiful purple flowers on it at about the same time that my daffodils come out, but I cannot remember for the life of me what it is called! I tried looking it up but couldn’t find it… If you have any ideas, please let me know!
I used some of the spring foliage that I found in the backyard to help decorate for my spring tea party! Come on in and check it out!
Would you like a cup of spring?!
Or a bite of Boxwood?!
I found these pretty purple flowers at my favorite local greenhouse and boutique shop, The Glass House, while I was looking for some spring inspiration. As soon as I saw them, I thought — teacups!
I bought two pots for $3.99 each, and then split them up into my teacups and vases… So in love with them!
My daughter Miss Lacee Grace wanted to plant her own as well… she’s just way too sweet! Heart-melted!
I also found these beautiful birdies at The Glass House, and I just had to have them! The colors just whispered spring, and the birdies whispered “buy me, buy me!”
Oh, and my jello molds! Have I even shared these with you all yet?! I’ve been collecting them for maybe 3 or 4 years now?! I actually have 19 in my collection, but haven’t had a chance to hang them all yet.
Some are vintage and some are antique, but I just love them all! I love the color contrasts and the different textures that they bring to my kitchen! Some of my recently acquired ones are pretty eclectic… There’s a lobster, an actual chicken, and even some squirrels?! Definitely a little weird!
I hope you enjoyed this spring tea party! Although there really wasn’t that much tea to be had, I definitely hope that you got your fill of spring inspiration!
