All you need are…
Some strawberries…
And some cheesecake!
If you have time and a great cheesecake recipe, you will definitely want to whip it up ahead of time and make sure that it can properly set in the refrigerator, before working with it.
However, if you are like me, and just don’t have as many hours in the day as you like… You can totally cheat!
I just ended up buying my cheesecake from our Real Canadian Super Store, so I feel like this cheesecake is extra Canadian for Canada Day! (Right?!)
The cheesecake that I ended up using was round instead of square, so I just used my Cheese Slicer to slice off the rounded edges.
I then used my cheese slicer to slice the square into small rectangles…
And then again, into cute, little squares.
As if this dessert couldn’t get any easier, the next step was to fasten my strawberry slices onto the squares using Toothpicks. So simple, right?!
I plated my cheesecake bites on a red and white Serving Platter for Canada Day, and then sprinkled a touch of icing sugar on top, for aesthetic purposes.
For my American friends and family, I whipped a few little treats up too! I used blackberries (super-dark-blue berries!) instead of strawberries…
Here are some other berry options and ideas that you could also use!
- Raspberries
- Blueberries
- Cherries
- Goji Berries
- Acai Berries
Keep your Red and White Strawberry Cheesecake Bites refrigerated until you are ready to serve them… And then well, enjoy!
Happy Canada Day!
And to my American friends and family…
Happy July 4th!

What a lovely, simple idea to add a festive touch on Canada Day (without requiring us to spend hours in the kitchen)! Thanks for joining the blog hop!
So simple, but so fun for a party (who doesn’t love bite sized food!?). I like that you used a regular cake then cut it down to size (I would have probably struggled with making mini cheesecakes for hours). Yum 🙂
My issue would be to stop at Canada Day! (I’d make these ALL THE TIME!!! LOL!!)
You totally had me at cheesecake – seriously! The fact that these are bites… I can probably eat them by the dozen!
These look absolutely delish!
