I recently had the opportunity to review a canvas print, from the company Simple Canvas Prints. It was really hard to decide what I wanted to put on my canvas print, but ultimately, my husband and I decided that we would like to do a print with our beautiful girls, since we really didn’t have any of them both together, hanging on our walls yet.
In order to create the perfect photo for our new canvas print, Miss Lacee Grace, Miss Soffia Rose, and I decided to have a little tea party, where I could snap some shots with my camera. Continue reading →
Today we are talking all about benches! If you were able to tune in earlier this month, you may have caught my post on my DIY bench made from a head-board and foot-board…
I found this bed set at a thrift store for about fifteen dollars, over two years ago, in hopes of making a bench out of it… But with life and stuff (working, momming, snowmobiling and fishing), it just sat around in The Project Pile, for practically, forever. Well until this month, that is!
I finally dug the bones for that bench out and had at’er! I was so happy and excited with how it turned out, I kind of feel like I want to make another one, and another one… and another one!
That’s how I decided to take a look at some other bloggers’ ideas and projects, and let me tell you, there really are a lot of neat DIY benches out there!
It was a little bit tough, but I was able to narrow down all of these great ideas to my top ten favorite. Some are so pretty, some are so eclectic, some are rustic, and some are fancy… Basically, what I’m trying to say is, that there is a bench for everyone on this list, no matter what your tastes are!Continue reading →
One of my favorite summer dinners is a good old-fashioned homemade burger! I’ve really been working on perfecting my burger recipe for years and years… And let me tell you, this burger is packed with flavor! It looks and tastes just like a gourmet burger!
But unlike your usual gourmet burger, this one is extremely quick and easy to prepare, and I mean… Extremely. Easy!
This year just happens to be Canada’s 150th birthday — Can you believe it?! I really wanted to create something special in order to celebrate this year. I wanted to devise something that would look a little on the rustic side, and also look just as old as Canada, itself…Continue reading →
I recently had the opportunity to join a new blogging group called Furniture Refresh! Each month, we get to take an old piece of furniture and breath new life into it using different products and techniques! This month, our mission was to stain a piece of furniture.
This is my first project with the Furniture Refresh group, so I’m really excited to share it with you all! Continue reading →
This Salmon Stir-Fry was devised because I am always trying to come up with really easy and fast recipes, that still have a slight twist of gourmet, for my family and I. This is one of my favorites, that has pretty much been perfected by now!
It only takes four ingredients, and about roughly fifteen to twenty minutes to put together. Continue reading →
This year, I really wanted to make our porch into the perfect relaxation/hang-out space for our family. In order to do this, I decided that we needed a bench so that we would have more room for everyone to sit. So I headed out to The Project Pile… Did some digging… And this is what I found!Continue reading →
Where we live, we are on well water, and let me tell you, our water is very, very rich in iron! It’s supposed to be pretty healthy for us to drink, so that’s good, but when it comes to cleaning, it’s just ridiculous! Our sinks, tubs, toilets and showers are always turning orange on us. Even when it comes to laundry, our whites will sometimes actually come out with orange spots on them, especially our white towels! All though I have pretty much given up on keeping our white laundry white, I have found some pretty good hacks for when it comes to cleaning up the orange left on everything else!Continue reading →
I recently had the opportunity to ask 16 amazing home design and decor bloggers any question that I wanted! Since I know that everyone has at least one of these types of spaces in their home, I decided to ask:
What is your best advice for making those teeny-tiny, small spaces in your home look, or at least feel larger than they really are?
The answers that these 16 pro-bloggers came back with are pretty clever, and I’m more than sure that they will definitely help when you are faced with this more than common, design challenge!Continue reading →
I grew up on a beef farm when I was younger so we ate a lot of steak, and I wasn’t always a huge fan of it because of this. Lately however, in my “more refined age”… I sure do love me, a good steak! I’ve even started eating them a little rarer than I used to!Continue reading →
