Each year, I am trying to become more and more organised for every holiday season.
I am trying to set it up so that I have reusable decor that I can make look different, but still look great every year, without having to spend more money. Last year I got a really great start with purchasing my neutral Christmas decor…
Are you an amazing Christmas shopper? Are you always finished way ahead of the rest of the pack?! Maybe… Maybe Not?! Honestly, I’m not that great, but I am much, much better than I used to be… And you can be too!
I no longer leave my shopping until the night before Christmas! I even have a couple of stocking stuffers stashed away for this year, so technically I can say that I have indeed started my shopping!
With Cyber Monday, and Black Friday looming upon the horizon, I decided to up my game and try to become even more organized this season… In order to help stay organized, I have created the perfect shopping tracker list, called the “Naughty or Nice Christmas Shopping List!”Continue reading →
Oh that darn bathroom vent! It’s one of those hard to reach places that I always forget to clean! And when I do remember, I never have anything handy to stand on and reach it with, so I usually just say “Oh well, maybe next time?!”
Well not today my friends!
Today I just happened to look up and catch that dusty old bathroom vent out of the corner of my eye, and decided that it was going to get cleaned the easy way!Continue reading →

Is it just me, or do you also find that no matter how big your house, basement, garage or closets are, they always seem to get super full, super fast?! The more room you have, the more objects you acquire… Extra storage is hard to come by… Or is it?!
Even though I am always trying to clean and de-clutter, it still never hurts to have some extra storage space.
I myself, have a couple of hutches/buffets that I use for some really stylish and functional storage space. Continue reading →
Planning the perfect table setting for each season can be a somewhat daunting task…. Finding the right color pallet, incorporating different patterns and textures, and staying on budget of course, are just some of the challenges faced…
The trick is to purchase a few all-around neutral pieces that you can reuse for every season, and then just switch out a few of the pieces, like the napkin colors and the centerpiece, to get a totally different look for the next season!
Given the time of year, I decided to select all of the must-have pieces for the perfect farmhouse style table setting, for the season of fall! (My fav!)Continue reading →
If you follow along with The Project Pile on Facebook, you may have seen the beautiful fluffy and poofy burlap wreath that I shared the other day, that my good friend, (Courtenay from over at The Creek Line House) made and posted about… Gorgeous!
This was my inspiration, or rather motivation, to finally get my butt into gear and whip up the burlap rag wreath that I had been hoping to devise long before now!

Is your baby teething?! Or to be more specific, super grumpy all the time and waking up throughout the night for no apparent reason?! If nothing else is noticeably wrong, then chances are that they are probably teething…
Some common symptoms and signs of teething include:
Bumpy and Swollen Gums
Trying to Bite and Put Everything in their Mouths
Some associate fever and diarrhea with teething, but there is still some argument as to whether or not they are directly related
Did you know that there is a trick that you can use to ripen your fruits and vegetables overnight?! I had never heard of this trick before, until the last time my wonderful grandma came to visit me!
We went to one of the local fresh farmer’s markets in town and picked up some yummy peaches… When we got back home, my grandma mentioned that if I wanted my peaches to ripen quicker, then I needed to do this one little, amazing trick!Continue reading →
Raise your hand if you are one of those crazy people like me, who loves a good kitchen faucet! Whether I am visiting someone’s home or strolling down the aisle of the local DIY store, I am always checking out the faucets!
Personally, I have always loved the looks of the old farmhouse style faucets… And the really nice thing about technology these days, is that we can now get these beautiful farmhouse/antique looking faucets, with all of the convenient functionality of the modern day faucet!
