Simple Canvas Prints (An honest review!)

Affordable Museum-Quality Canvas Prints with Simple Canvas Prints!

I recently had the opportunity to review a canvas print, from the company Simple Canvas Prints. It was really hard to decide what I wanted to put on my canvas print, but ultimately, my husband and I decided that we would like to do a print with our beautiful girls, since we really didn’t have any of them both together, hanging on our walls yet.

In order to create the perfect photo for our new canvas print, Miss Lacee Grace, Miss Soffia Rose, and I decided to have a little tea party, where I could snap some shots with my camera. Continue reading

10 Pretty and Eclectic DIY Benches!

10 Pretty and Eclectic DIY Benches! Find the perfect bench for all of your benching needs!

Today we are talking all about benches! If you were able to tune in earlier this month, you may have caught my post on my DIY bench made from a head-board and foot-board…

I found this bed set at a thrift store for about fifteen dollars, over two years ago, in hopes of making a bench out of it… But with life and stuff (working, momming, snowmobiling and fishing), it just sat around in The Project Pile, for practically, forever. Well until this month, that is!

I finally dug the bones for that bench out and had at’er! I was so happy and excited with how it turned out, I kind of feel like I want to make another one, and another one… and another one!

That’s how I decided to take a look at some other bloggers’ ideas and projects, and let me tell you, there really are a lot of neat DIY benches out there!

It was a little bit tough, but I was able to narrow down all of these great ideas to my top ten favorite. Some are so pretty, some are so eclectic, some are rustic, and some are fancy… Basically, what I’m trying to say is, that there is a bench for everyone on this list, no matter what your tastes are! Why I’m Obsessed with Flea Markets, and Why You Should Be Too! (Check out the newest additions to The Project Pile!)

Have you ever been to a flea market before?! If not, then you totally need to go! Even if you’re not that much into finding pieces of furniture to flip, there’s almost always something for everyone! Car parts, furniture, antiques, collectibles, toys, and usually lots and lots of junk… Sometimes items jump right out at you, and other times you may have to sift through, but if you wonder around enough, you’re sure to find something!

This weekend I was able to spend my whole Saturday at one of my favorite flea markets, back in my hometown, the Annual Stirling Agricultural Society Flea Market, which is always held on the first weekend of May. Continue reading
